European Roulette Tips and Bonus 2019
Many people do not realize that there is more than one type of roulette. And those that have noticed that there is American Roulette and European Roulette do not often know the difference. Although the difference is very slight, it is at the same time huge.
An American style roulette wheel has 38 numbers – 1 through 36, 0, and 00. On an “even money” bet, betting on black or red or odd or even, the house still has an advantage. If the ball lands on 0 or 00, then none of these bets win, since 0 and 00 are neither odd nor even and they are not black or red.
On a European style roulette wheel, there are 37 numbers, 1 through 36 and 0. Since there is only one 0, this literally cuts the house advantage in half! Instead of a 5.26% edge, the house now has a 2.63% advantage. This is very big long term, even though, it is still not really possible to truly beat the roulette wheel with any system.
European Roulette is available at most of today’s online casinos. Cherry Red Casino, Slots Oasis, Bovada Casino, and PartyCasino are some of the more popular internet casinos that feature both American and European Roulette.

Whenever faced with the decision between American and European versions of Roulette, always choose European. There is not much difference except the American wheel’s 00, which is an advantage for the house. No need to give the casino any more advantage than they already have.
The payouts for European Roulette are the same as for American Roulette. Black/ red, odd/ even and each half of the numbers (1 to 18 or 19 to 36) pay out even money. Betting on the numbers 1 to 12, 13 to 24, or 25 to 36 pay 2 to 1, or double your bet.
Then there are other special bets that will pay a little more. A sixline bet of 6 numbers will pay out 5 to 1 while a bet on the first five numbers will pay 6 to 1. If you bet on four numbers by placing chips in the corner where they all meet, that is appropriately called a corner bet and pays 8 to 1.
You can bet a street, which is three numbers across for 11 to 1 or a split, two numbers, for 17 to 1. Any one number pays 35 to 1, which shows most clearly how the casino makes money on Roulette since there are 37 numbers and they only pay 35 to 1.
Roulette is a blast to play though, and should really be only played for entertainment, as should almost all casino games. To think you can beat Roulette, whether live or online, is pretty foolish, as it is mathematically impossible to win over a long enough stretch.
However, if you look at playing Roulette online as a fun way to blow off some steam and you don’t mind blowing a little cash at the same time, then you will not be disappointed. Trust me, nothing is quite like the feeling of hitting a single number in blackjack and seeing the stack that the dealer piles up to pay you off!
